"Retired"

"Retired" is an acrylic on canvas 24"x36" from a photo I took at one of my favorite Harbor Walks in Georgetown, SC. There is a row of dark, abandoned, warehouses at the end of the walk and in the corner, piled up as waste and forgotten are these amazing old discarded boats. Of course I attempted to glamorize them to capture the mystery and feeling of the moment. A neighbor bought it off my easel, which makes me realize I succeeded in my goal.
